So after running the Surf City Half Marathon, we decided to have diner at one of our favorite Anahiem Mexican food restaurants, Casa Gamino. Located 1228 S. Brookhurst St., cross-street W. Ball, it has become one of those can't miss restaurants everytime we are in the area. What is even better, it is only a couple of miles from Disneyland!!!
This was on Superbowl Sunday, so the restaurant was pretty empty. That was ok, since the service was excellent as usual and we got to watch half-time with diner.
Normally I pick either the pork or beef chimichanga; which is big and very good. However, this time I decided to have the carnitas and wasn't disappointed. They were full of flavor and properly prepared.
Beth had the awesome nachos. The kids were for some reason not into Mexican food this trip, so they had burger and fries.
In the past we have had the humongus burritos which again are very good.
If you are ever visiting the area, going to Disneyland, or just visiting Southern California, this place is worth the trip.
